It's not a reality show, its a real reno

Pinaster Place is half renovation & half rebuild.

Its a re-invention of our family home, and so far, its been all on paper. Work began in October 2010, and the builders have set a cracking pace.

Well, the original 12-month completion is a few months behind, but we're so close to finishing it! (And we're going mental in the rental!)

Upstairs study ... the celestory window gives a slice of the sky

Upstairs bedroom.... hmmm, may need curtains

Street View

...this view is from across the street. Still seems like a lot of
work to do, but the inside is really powering along.

Sadly, some of the existing leafy trees will have to go,
because they've grown feral and are directly under the
power lines. But we'll replace it with something, as soon as
we can find a gardener brave enough to help us with this hill.

Inside Views

Here is a wobbly iphone video of the inside, main living areas.
We're just about ready for the kitchen to be installed.

Almost Locked Up

So, we're almost at lock up - here's how she looks from afar.

Transparency

Windows are the next big installation, as we move towards "lock-up". (It would be even quicker if I could get my act together to commission a front door).

Getting Plastered

The last few wet winter weeks have seen a lot of internal work completed. Really excited about the beautiful white plastering.
